Big Boss Run Club

One of my favorite places to run in the Triangle is Tuesday nights, 7pm at Big Boss Brewing Company. Come out and join other runners on the patio at Big Boss for a meet and greet followed by a fun, social run and/or walk out and back along the Capital Area Greenway. First launched in spring 2011, beer and racing will continue to assist with hosting this great, free event in 2013.

Big Boss Run Club is organized and hosted by volunteer runner enthusiasts who are not affiliated with the brewery. Big Boss Brewery and Taproom is kind enough to offer us a place to meet/run/drink plus give us free merchandise for being awesome customers. 

There are four official routes (3.1, 4, 5 or 6 miles) - all offered each week however you can adjust any of them for more or less mileage. Directions and maps are available each week or print your own and bring it along. This is a social fun run/walk for all paces.

Hang out after the run and socialize with other members and enjoy the Tuesday $3 post-run beer special from the taproom. Beer drinking is optional, the taproom also supplies water and cups each week as well.

Big Boss Run Club is rain or shine each week however we encourage you to use your best judgement if its unusually windy or if there is thunder and lighting. If its wet out, the sign-in notebook and maps will be upstairs in the taproom; probably on the end of the bar.  

Most weeks, Sarge's Chef on Wheels or another food truck vendor will also be at Big Boss serving up grub to go with your brew.

3.1 mile out-and-back greenway (towards Anderson Road)

4 mile out-and-back greenway (towards Raleigh Blvd)

5 mile out-and-back greenway with loop of  Oxford Park neighborhood

6 mile out-and-back greenway with loop of Anderson Heights neighborhood
