Yesterday, I had hoped to get back in the game by running the Anna's Angels 10 Miler in Durham after a less than stellar Rock and Roll half marathon in VA Beach earlier this month. As you may have heard, the RNR half race didn't go so well for me for a variety of reasons and excuses. In November, friends and I are doing the OBX half in Nags Head so the AA 10 miler was a early warm-up for us to test ourselves 6 weeks out.
I am happy to report that the race went fairly well and the results are more in line with what I expect of myself and my running. The course was pretty basic with no scenery; just rolling hills and moderate traffic through the streets of Research Triangle Park.
It is nice to get my confidence back but I have a long way to go between now and race day in the OBX.
